HOW TO UPGRADE TO THE LATEST VERSION OF ZRM

This article is for Zmanda Recovery Manager For MySQL (ZRM)

Info Description:

If you are running ZRM more than one version older than the latest, you may be asked to first upgrade to a previous version. For example, if you are running ZRM 3.4 and attempt to upgrade to ZRM 3.6, you will be asked to first upgrade to ZRM 3.5.

Incrementally upgrading ZRM is not necessary if you first uninstall the older version of ZRM.

  1. Make a copy of /etc/mysql-zrm/mysql-zrm.conf

  2. Uninstall the older version of ZRM while preserving configuration files and backups.
