How to configure Amanda backups through a firewall (w/iptables example)

Info Description:

Amanda Enterprise uses inbound port 10080 during backup and inbound port 10081 during restore on the Amanda client.  These ports must be opened for TCP traffic from the Amanda server.

Amanda Enterprise Client:

• Inbound TCP port 10080
• Inbound TCP port 10081

As far as outbound ports, the Amanda server uses the port range specified as the Ports for Parallel Backup on the Backup|how page.  The default range depends on your AEE version:

• AEE 3.4 and later: Outbound TCP ports 800-840
• AEE 3.3 and earlier: Outbound TCP ports 700-710
