      GETNAMEINFO FAILED: UNKNOWN ERROR

      Error Message

      getnameinfo failed: Unknown error

      Error Description

      During client verification you get this error. "getnameinfo failed" is related to DNS name resolution issue.

      Solution

      Verify that the Amanda Server and clients can resolve each other using forward as well as reverse look up.
