Issue Symptoms

[Applied to Solaris systems]

On the Zmanda Management Console, when labeling a tape on the "Backup Media" page: Amlabel output: amlabel: could not load slot "1": Could not run mtx binary at 'mtx'

Issue Description

This issue is due to a missing "/usr/bin/mtx" executable file.

Resolution

1. Check if the CSWmtx package is installed.
2. Create a symbolic link at /usr/bin pointing to /opt/csw/sbin/mtx:

$ In -s /opt/csw/sbin/mtx /usr/bin/mtx
