Can't assign requested address

Resolution for backup failure due to "Can't assign requested address"

This article is for Amanda Enterprise (AE).

Issue Symptoms

A failed backup is shown in the Report| Summary page in ZMC with: "Can't assign requested address" 

Issue Description

This means that Amanda was unable to find an available source port for the backup on the Amanda server.
